Outdoor Sleeping Comfort with the Right Bag

People are rediscovering the joys of camping and many parents are taking their children for short weekend camping adventures in the countryside. Camping in the United Kingdom is always a risky business. While there is very little risk of encounteruing Bears or poisonous Snakes there is every chance you will encounter some uncertain British weather.

But, as long as yiou have the right camping equipment you and your family can have a lot of fun, regardless of the weather. One of the most important pieces of camping kit has got to be your sleeping bags.

There are a great selection of sleeping bags to choose from these days, some will cost only a few pounds but others can cost a small fortune. So how can you make the right choice for you and your family?

The first thing to consider is the time of year and where you will be camping. There is really no need to buy an expensive winter quality sleeping bag if you are only ever going to use it during the summer months.

Another aspect to keep in mind is how your sleeping bag will be packed. Will you be hiking with your sleeping bag in a backpack or will it never need to be crammed into a small pack? If you expect to be hiking with your sleeping bag in a backpack then size and weight will be important considerations.

It is also worth keeping in mind who bag is for, how big they are and whether they have any special comfort requirements. For example, children may be more comfortable in child size sleeping bags and some people (like my partner) are never comfortable sleeping within the confinements of a sleeping bag.

And finally we must, of course consider the price. The price of sleeping bags, both down and polyester filled, can vary enormously. Down filled bags tend to be the most expensive and most suitable for winter and all year round use.

Your most economical sleeping bag is likely to be polyester filled and suitable for the warmer summer months only. You will probably also want a sleeping matt or maybe an airbed for sleeping comfort and insulation from the cold ground.

Do You Remember The Duffle Bag?

When I was a child, most people I knew used duffle bags. Though there were some with backpacks around, they weren’t as common as they are today. Today, most will choose to carry a backpack if given the choice, but there are still some great uses for the duffle style of bag. There are some things just can’t be carried in a backpack if you want them to remain in one piece.

A backpack is suitable for many reasons. The biggest is that they are much easier to carry than the duffle bags. However, there are some who know that the duffle bag is the smart choice in many occasions. A good example is a musician. Although there are special bags for some of the more sensitive equipment that they might own, many will carry those items in a duffle bag. If the same stuff were put in a backpack it would be broken rather quickly.

Though some like to use a briefcase to carry their papers, there are some people who don’t like the look. When they have a large amount of papers to take around with them, they will find that the duffle bags will help protect those papers as they will be lying flat. Think about teachers who have to carry a lot of papers back and forth to work each day, or the person who works from home for a few days a week. They have a lot to carry.

Duffle bags may not be as easy to carry as a backpack, but they are useful for many other reasons as well. They are even a good idea when travelling. They are usually more versatile, and can cost less as well. However, when hauling something delicate around, the more expensive type of duffle bag would be the best buy.

Camp In Style! Read All About It!

It’s great to go away for a few days into the countryside under canvas. There is nothing to beat breathing fresh air and eating outdoors, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Of course, having the right camping supplies and equipment makes the experience all the more enjoyable.

The basic things are the most important to get right. Tents vary in size and price, from the small one-man variety to large family tents. It’s important to select one that suits the terrain and climate of the destination. Some tents are only designed for summer weather and any winter camping will require a 4-season tent. Most campers like to have some kind of air mattress to sleep on. These come in single, double and king size with pillows and air pumps that can be charged up from a car battery.

A good sleeping bag will ensure you have a sound night’s sleep. There is also a choice of materials aimed at different weather conditions. A lantern or flashlight with spare batteries is an excellent item to put on your camping supplies list. Plastic table and chair sets are light and easy to keep clean and will last for years. There are portable stoves, Dutch ovens and barbecues, sets of durable pans and dishes and kettles. All food, wine and beer can be kept cool in mini refrigerators or cool boxes.

For those campers who don’t want to cook, they can buy camping supplies could include pre-prepared meals that just need added water. There is a good range of food that includes curries, chilies, meatballs and pasta and some delicious desserts. Screens will give protection from curious insects and windbreaks will give shelter from the elements.

Do your laundry is another consideration when living outdoors. Mini washing machines and dryers will keep the family in clothes and camping supplies should also include a clothes line or airer that can be attached to the tent.

Toilet facilities are the more basic aspects of camping supplies but a necessary concern. There is a wide range of chemical and portable toilets on the market.

Flamingo Land Zoo

The kids will be champing at the bit to go to Flamingo Land Zoo. There are over 100 rides as well as a Zoo that plays host to Flamingos (well doh!) as well as Lions and other exotic creatures. Camping Stuff

People are practicing camping every days and every summer. More and more are doing it. Your friends, relatives and family can enjoy this great sport. You can spend all the summer or just a day doing camping. Since I was a child, I have been into camping escape. It started out with my family, later, as a teen, I was doing camping with my friends.

My whole family and I love doing camping. I also like doing it alone. Camping is usually practiced the weekend in our family. Driving 2 hours afar from the city, we know a nice camping spot. My kids love this camping place. Breathing air, away from the city, is very important for the health.

An important point in camping is what you will bring as equipment. Be very select about what equipment you will bring during your camping days. Kitchen tools are important and likewise, the tent I am using: the North Face Vario 23 . I use one tent for my children and one tent for myself and my spouse. This tent has 2 main features: light and resistant to water. If you are planning to fish during your camping escape, always bring an additional pole to replace any broken ones.

Camping is a great experience in family. My kids love to take walks, to run around and a lot more. For myself, it is the best way to get rid of the weekly stress. For those rainy days, we found out a camping park where rustic cabins are available. For us, it is the perfect spot. So even during sunny weekends or during rainy ones, my family and I did find a great escape.

During camping days, it is very important to take care about health. Bring some basic medical kit when going on a camping trip. If something bad happens, you might be hours from the nearest medical center so be ready and think ahead.

Have Fun This Summer: Camping!

Camping is an interesting summer activity practiced by many people. This sport is practiced by the whole family and their friends and relatives. Either a single day or either the whole summer is a good moment for camping. I have been practicing camping since my childhood. At first, it was a family escape then it became something being done with friends.

My whole family and I love doing camping. I also like doing it alone. Camping is usually practiced the weekend in our family. Driving 2 hours afar from the city, we know a nice camping spot. My kids love this camping place. Breathing air, away from the city, is very important for the health.

Camping equipment is very important those days. People should carefully select what they will bring with themselves during their trip. Besides all the cooking stuff, the most important thing I bring is the North Face Vario 23 tent . In fact, we do bring two of them. One for my wife and I and another for the kids. Such a tent is great because it has good water resistance besides being lightweight. If you do plan to go fishing during your trip, bring an additional fishing pole in case your main one will be damaged for any reason.

My wife, children and I did learn over time to appreciate camping a lot. My children love a lot going out in the nature, running and taking walks. To cope with the daily stress, I found out that camping is helping me a lot. For those rainy days, we know some good spots to enjoy camping. All my family and I found out that camping is a great sport. We can simply do it both during sunny and rainy weekends.

A last thing to mention is how important health is during those trips. Any campers should always pack an emergency kit for those long days. Think you might be some hours away from the nearest hospital and obviously you do need to be prepared for anything.

Family Tent Camping – Choosing The Right Tent Is Everything

Heading into the great outdoors with your family is really something special. The thoughts of the wide open spaces, fresh air and quiet woods make you want to grab your family camping tent and hit the road. Where you go does not matter just the thought of enjoying the time together as a family is what is important. Many families avoid family tentsopting instead to use trailer or an RV. However, that might be because they haven’t chosen the right family camping tent for their family. Lets look at things to consider when picking a family tent.

1. Find The Right Size Family Cabin Tent

Family cabin tents all size rated according to how many people they can accommodate. There are two person tents, three person tents, etc but you don’t reach family tents size until you get to five or greater. Despite what the size rating is make sure that the tent is big enough for everyone and has a little extra space. A family of 5 should probably look at an 8 person tent so that there is enough room for everybody as well as your camping gear. You many want to consider a family dome tent as they usually provide more floor space than other tent designs.

2. Tent Strength Is Important Too

Many families avoid family camping tents because they fell they can easily rip and you will either be soaked from rain or infested with bugs. The fact of tenting is that tents have gotten much stronger over the years. When purchasing a family cabin tent, or a family dome tent, check out the construction of it. Is there double seam stitching? Are the grommets reinforced? Are the poles flimsy or heavy duty? Is the mesh screen thick or thin construction? Look carefully at each aspect to make sure that the tent will accommodate 4 or 5 people and not cause you any problems.

3. The Design And Shape Of The Tent

A family camping tent can come in a few different configurations. There are basically three shapes that all tents will come in. Most tents will come as an ‘A’ frame construction. These tents have two sides raised at the ends with a flat back and front. The sides are sloped towards a peak forming an ‘A’. For larger families this is a poor design. Then there are the “walled” styled tents which have poles at each end and also sometimes in the middle. A large family will find this style of tent to be more comfortable an will provide more room for campers and storeage. These types of tents also have extra rooms for privacy.

For families that are going camping as a group the overall best configuration is the family dome tent. These tents are more secure, and stable that any other kind as the wind can go around the curve structure. In addition, family dome tents provide better floor space because you do not have a pole in the middle. You can also extend some tents with additional rooms or vestibule for privacy, or individual rooms. And best of all a family dome tent is very easy to set up, keep clean, and pack up again.

No matter what tent style you choose, going family tent camping will bring your family closer together and provide experiences everyone will always remember.
